The purpose of the petition is to get critical mass behind the idea that the work of rebuilding New Orleans should go to the residents of New Orleans. They know it and love it best. They should benefit from all funds and projects that go towards the goal of restoring the Soul of America, New Orleans, Louisianna to her former and furture glory.<br /><br />The vision is that all residents, but especially the poor and underserved resident CITIZENS of that town will come up like a pheonix better than before, healthier, stronger, more financially secure, with more skills and with the pride gained from rebuilding our beloved NOLA.<br /><br />NOLA will not be a new South Beach playground for the rich. It will be a testament to the soul of the nation, the people of New Orleans.
